Henna - The cultural value of Pakistan

There is not a single house in Pakistan where women does not use to wear mehandi on eid days. it is kept as our traditional value. no Pakistani wedding is complete without Henna, no matters a bride belongs to which ever part of country she has to wear mehandi (Henna) on her hands to ensure that she is a Pakistani bride.

On the occasion of Eid-Ul-Azha as well as Eid-Ul-Fitr women wear Henna on her hands with that lovely red color. Eid is considered as a day of happiness and mehandi brings that essence on Eid days. On Chand Raat( a day before Eid) women went out of their homes and go nearby parlor to cover theirs hands with pretty designs of henna.

There are girls who has this talent of applying henna with different and beautiful designs. there is a special course at beauty parlors of this talent. there are different packages for different level of mehandi.

There are many types of henna designs which are associated to that location like Arabic, Indian, Pakistani, Sudani etc. these designs are separated by their nature of application.

Heena is considered as a symbol of happiness in Pakistan. A women newly married should wear it to show her happiness towards her new life.

Nowadays henna is not just limited to hands but it can be apply on neck, arms, belly and on back. creativity lies on the hands of person who apply it by using beautiful designs. its her/his trick to beautify hands.
